Bob Moore, our President, started his professional career in electronic data systems as a service technician for Lynch Communications Systems, a manufacturer of data and voice communication systems for the independent telephone network. After completing his undergraduate work in physics, he was promoted to the position of Electronic Engineer, responsible for the manufacturing and systems test of the company’s many communication products, including their time-division multiplex (TDM) common carrier system and their highly rated voice encryption products.

 

Ray Lockwood worked for Smith-Corona-Merchant (SCM) for many years as a serviceman and a branch manager.

 

Bob and Ray purchased the local SCM branch and incorporated on April 8, 1975. Mr. Lockwood has since retired.

 

Over the years Lockwood Moore, Inc. has provided state-of-the-art information technology products and services to Nevada and California communities. We are one of the most recognized and oldest office information systems firms.

 

The original product offerings in 1975 were typewriters and calculators. PC’s, printers and copiers were added to the product and service offerings in the late 1980’s. We installed our first computer network in 1988. We then became a Kyocera copier-printer dealer in 1998 and added Ricoh copiers in 2008.

 

Working with copiers, printers, and PC’s, we knew that copiers would eventually integrate into office networks. We were surprised that it took as long as it did. We now offer IT services that cover the breadth of office technologies.
